The stone Tools
Even before Australia was discovered by the English, the indigenous people (The Aborigines) made some astounding inventions that our society uses today. There's a theory that Aboriginals were the first ever to use stone tools to craft objects into anything from wood, bone and bark into ornaments. The stone tools also act like hunting tools to kill animals for food and can also used to tan animal skins to make into clothes and containers. The tools that you all use today, originate from an early Australian invention.
the woomera
The woomera is an extension to the spear, made in Australia by Aboriginals over 5000 years ago. The woomera would be at the end of the spear and would increase the range and the effectiveness of the spear. The woomera was actually a multi tool. They were used like bowls to carry edible substances, had a sharp edge to slice up their food and their wood and were also a defence mechanism from arrows and spears. This was the fastest ever weapon until the invention of the gun in the 1300's.
